ENHANCED REGULATORY SIGNS (ERS)
On the roads today are various regulatory speed signs which depicts
the maximum speed allowed for the road it is situated on. Standard
plate sign versions use reflective material to allow drivers to see them in
the dark but our enhanced version incorporates LED elements set within the
roundel and speed text to significantly improve visibility. An
optional feature is a speed measuring detector incorporated within the sign
enclosure which detects vehicles exceeding the pre-set speed threshold.
Once a vehicle has been detected the LED elements would illuminate warning
the driver to slow down. A further advantage of this approach is a
reduction in street clutter as the sign can replace either or both a
regulatory sign and standard speed warning sign.
